"With the Caring for the Community Canteen, everyone rallied around the people in need. I’ve never seen a group so strongly behind their peers and the people in the community."

Corporate Habitat for Humanity Build

Habitat Dedication

Since the year 2000, corporate employees have been trading their business attire for dirty jeans and t-shirts to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.  The enthusiasm is still strong as this partnership enters its 13th year. HCA employees have contributed to building foundations, painting interior and exterior walls, installing carpet, and decorating rooms with personal gifts.  All told, HCA corporate employees have built 15 homes and the foundation has contributed $1.7M since 2000.  Sharing the dream of providing life-changing opportunities through home ownership, HCA and the Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity are natural partners to make a real difference in the lives of local families.

“Build a Hospital, Build a Home”

As of 2012, HCA employees have built 55 homes across the United States through the Habitat for Humanity program.  Originally focused on communities where we were building hospitals and doing major renovations, the program has been so popular, we continue to build one house each year.

  • Since the year 2000, more than 10,000 HCA employees across the country have taken the time to contribute over 80,000 volunteer hours to help families achieve the dream of homeownership.
  • HCA has invested over $2.2M  into our national partnership with Habitat for Humanity
  • In 2006, in conjunction with our 35th Anniversary, 50 employees from across the country worked together on a blitz build in New Orleans.
