The HCA Healthcare Foundation’s Middle Tennessee Fund, established in 1997, supports area nonprofits addressing community concerns related to basic needs, primary care, health and wellbeing, education and the arts. This fund prioritizes support for organizations with strong, authentic relationships with HCA Healthcare colleagues, most often reflected through board-level involvement and volunteerism.
The Middle Tennessee Fund considers grant applications from 501c3 organizations located in Davidson, Williamson, Wilson, Rutherford, Cheatham, Dickson, Robertson and Sumner Counties.

Grant Recipients
Ready to begin your grant application?
New applicants must fill out the Applicant Inquiry Form and receive approval to apply from the HCA Healthcare Foundation staff before proceeding with a grant application. Applicants should expect a reply from the Foundation staff within three weeks. “New applicants” includes agencies that have not previously received funding from the Foundation as well as agencies that have not been funded by the Foundation in the past 18 months.
The Middle Tennessee Fund utilizes two distinct grant applications to help ensure the right balance of effort on the part of both agencies and Foundation staff. For grant requests of $15,000 or less, please choose the application that has been designed to capture the essential information needed while respecting agencies’ time. Grants requests of more than $15,000 should utilize the more comprehensive application, which contains additional questions that help Foundation staff more fully understand the proposal’s scope and impact.
User Tip: When setting up a login/password to submit application, a generic email account is recommended. i.e. grants@abcnonprofit.org. By using a generic mailbox, multiple employees can use the same login and password.
