At HCA, caregiving is in our DNA, so it’s only natural that our colleagues would be involved in caring for our local community. Each year, HCA gives its corporate employees the opportunity to give back to their communities.
Employees are given the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of organizations or volunteer with them through agency fairs and community days of service.
In 2016, HCA employees gave about $3.57 million to local agencies and volunteered 43,364 hours.
We begin with learning about our community.
HCA invites local nonprofits to its corporate campus throughout the year to help educate and engage employees around important community issues.
We start with learning and serving.
HCA Corporate employees receive 24 hours a year (12 for part-time employees) to volunteer at local agencies during regular business hours.
We invest in our communities.
HCA supports employees across the HCA enterprise in giving with matching gifts to any 501(c)3 organization.
We believe that stronger leaders create stronger organizations and through them, healthier communities are realized.
To achieve this goal, The HCA Foundation supports and trains HCA affiliated employees to serve on nonprofit boards of directors.
